So, mayu visited the Anime Festival Asia (AFA) for her first time. Was pretty surprised by the crowd and the excitement but still, it was an experience that definitely swept mayu off her feet. The cosplayers were eye-opening, and the Gakuen Royale Butler cafe was a memorable experience. Will definitely be looking forward to the event again next year. Been thinking of recoloring some of the earlier works because mayu has never really been satisfied with her coloring skills in the past... So yeps, after taking the Foundation in Digital Painting and Concept Art Course, mayu has really come to decide that she should recolour a few of the previous works and apply what she had learnt from the course. Works that most likely will be redone are the Gintama Silver Soul and Deathnote fanart. Now, it's just a matter of working on which first... plus there are still a few WIP that mayu wants to complete. Anyway, have come to realise that fanart are really more popular than original works. So yep, I'm completely guilty of not logging in except for the few days after I submit a particular artwork. Because coming in to see the number of favs and page views jump gives me a superb sense of satisfaction, but when the rates start to drop, I just tune out and move off the my other hobbies like reading or watching dramas...lol Anyway, added 3 new art to the gallery. All Gintama fandom because these were drawn for ExplodedToiletBowl. It's her birthday today and she loves HijiGin. SO even though mayu is more of a "Hijikata is an uke" type of person, mayu still drew them for her. And well, gotta admit that it's very motivating to draw
